Community Stage
At the beginning of the third year with Making Ourselves Matter Services Society (MOMSS), these young women are rehoused in the community for the last stage of the apprenticeship. Purposed as a practicum to maximize personal growth gained from their residential experience, clients are tasked with the responsibility to test and practice their new knowledge and abilities, by applying it to real situations, challenges and concerns while living in their own home. This valuable and practical approach is conducive to honing and implementing their new lifestyle changes and personal effectiveness, ensuring a greater level of success in sustaining long-term change. This two-year powerful learning phase is provided under the continuing support, mentoring, and encouragement of MOMSS’ staff.
